We are very lucky to have such a strong support system during this trying time.  Thank you for all you have given us. Your thoughtfulness knows no bounds. We love you all

It was difficult to compose a letter that could convey the enormous amount of gratitude that I have for each and every one of you. Wow!  What an amazing day we had at the fundraiser.  We are nearing the $50,000 mark. And it is because of YOU ALL! This could not have happened without of all of your help!  Thank you for giving up your time to get donations, wrap baskets, spread the word and work the event.  I am in awe of how much everybody selflessly gave of themselves. You all put a lot of time and love into this and it will never go unforgotten.

When we started this, I had no idea what to expect.  I truly thought that we would get a few donations, have some fun and show our support.  I had no idea that we would have 160 raffle baskets and over 140 silent auction items. At best guess, there were over 400 people in attendance that day.  That was all so wonderful and it helped us to exceed our goal.  We did everything that we set out to do.

The thing that I had not counted on was the affect that this would have on me and my family.  As you go through life, you always try to do the right thing and hope that in some small way you have touched someone's life in a positive way.  It isn't until you are put into this kind of situation that you humbly realize that importance of living life with compassion and the need to leave each situation better than when you got there.  You all are amazing people and more importantly, great role models for your children.  You have all inspired me to become that kind of role model for my children.  Thank you for making me a better person.

I may never be able to repay each of you, but given the opportunity, I will certainly try.

I recently heard a song whose words struck a chord - It's not the breaths you take that get you through the day, it's the moments that take your breath away!  I wish all of you a life filled with moments that take your breath away!
